Jun 19, 2012 1:00 EST (10:00PST)

As Google continues to adjust and improve its algorithm and page scoring metrics, sites that rely on gimmicks and thin content are paying the price. From Panda to Penguin to whatever is coming next, you can be sure Google’s goal is the same: To identify content and links that cannot be trusted, and to surface highest quality content for searchers. Many sites need to adjust their content and linking strategies, but aren’t quite sure which direction to go.

Attend this webcast and learn:
How Google is adapting and improving its detection capabilities
What types of links are most likely to hurt your site
What types of links are most likely to help your site
How to pursue a linking strategy that will survive and rise over time

After the webcast the archived version should be available here.

Thursday, September 16, 2010 – 1 PM EDT
Speaker: Eric Ward, ericward.com – Q+A Panelist: Chris Sherman

Link-building is a key component of a successful online public relations strategy. Do it well and your website or content will rank high in the search engine results. Do it poorly and you may never be found. Links and link optimization matter more than ever, and to understand the how and why it’s also important to understand how search engine optimization (SEO) and social media impact link-building campaigns. In this webcast, linking strategies expert Eric Ward will discuss the role that public relations professionals should play in overall company linking strategies, and what you need to know about linking in order to run a successful online public relations campaign. Find out why some links can have a dramatic effect on direct traffic or organic search results, while others may have not impact at all. Key topics of discussion will include:

* Link popularity defined for public relations
* Best practices for building quality links
* What should a press release look like in 2010?
* Purposeful Social Linking Tips
After the webcast the archived version should be available here.
